GMC Champions Cricket League ( GCCL ) — Where Teamwork Took Center Stage

From 1st to 7th September 2026 , the grounds of our Barotiwala Plant transformed into a cricketing arena as the GMC Champions League (GCL) brought together five spirited teams for a week of competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments.

What made GCCL special wasn't just the cricket — it was the people.

With teams made up of a unique mix of employees, staff, labour, and management, the league brought everyone onto the same pitch. Different roles, different responsibilities, one jersey — and one team.

Across seven action-packed days, the grounds echoed with cheers, sixes, wickets, friendly banter, and plenty of competitive spirit. Every match was a reminder that great teams aren't built only in offices or on production floors — they're built through shared experiences.

The GMC Champions League was more than a cricket tournament. It was a celebration of the culture we want to build at GMC: inclusive, energetic, collaborative, and people-first.

Because when management bats alongside the team, when colleagues cheer for one another, and when everyone gets the same chance to step onto the field, something bigger than a match happens.
